Lex Products Launches New Line
of UL Listed
3 Phase Adjustable Main Circuit Breaker Boxes
March 5, 2008

Stamford, CT & Los Angeles, CA – [March 5, 2008] Lex
Products, a leading manufacturer of superior power distribution and control
systems, proves that a little innovation can go a long way.
Lex’s New 3 Phase Adjustable Main Circuit Breaker Boxes are fully
adjustable from 100A to 400 Amps, and are a safe, convenient and economical
means of providing a portable main disconnect.
According to Joe Fittante, Market Specialist for Generator Applications,
Lex’s Adjustable Breaker Boxes are extremely compact and convenient.
Because the breakers are adjustable from 160-400
Amps and from 100 -250 Amps, the number of inventory items required (on hand) to build comparable
configurations, is greatly reduced.
“In designing this product, we utilized our most popular heavy-duty,
fully insulated molded rubber enclosure – our PowerHOUSE™
PAGODA style enclosure. As a result, Lex’s Adjustable Main
Circuit Breaker Boxes are the smallest, most durable units on the market
today, able to resist shock, impact, corrosion and weather conditions,” said
Fittante. “Typically, these types of disconnects are bulky and cumbersome,
and not ‘exactly’ portable,” added Fittante.
“We’ve thought through every safety and convenience factor
for our customers, and even added an extra 20A 125
VAC Duplex Receptacle,
enabling users to power up additional devices. We call it a ‘convenience
outlet’ and this feature, combined with the small, rugged compact
design, further differentiates our adjustable breaker boxes from others,” said
Fittante.
Other enhanced benefits include:
- Can be used in a variety of applications (e.g., construction sites, temporary
HVAC,
motion picture, theatre, utility companies, power plants, outdoor events,
etc.)
- Breaker is electronic with no thermal element. Unit will not trip due to
ambient temperature
- Cables with 16 Series Cam-type connectors can connect directly to the inputs,
saving crucial time in emergency situations.

Renee Page – Promoted to Corporate Communications Director (left)
For the past 3 years, Renee Page has served Lex Products
as the Marketing Director, responsible for designing and projecting the “Lex Brand” through
creative advertising and promotional campaigns, websites, trade shows
and external communications.
In her new role, Renee will be responsible for publicizing

“As Lex has grown to include several divisions and numerous markets, communications has become one of the most important activities in the company,” said Bob Luther, CEO of Lex Products. “Renee has demonstrated an amazing ability to produce top quality ads, brochures and sales tools, not to mention our trade show presence. This new position will allow her to insure we maintain high standards company wide,” added
Bob.
“Basically, I will be the guardian of the Lex message,” said Renee Page. “And, in my new role, I will have a two-fold challenge: consistency and frequency; I will need to convey a consistent message, and a consistent look and feel, with every piece of marketing material, with every external communication, and with every internal sales tool,” added
Renee.
Renee received her BS in Communications from Boston University in 1989, and over the past 15 years, she has held various executive-level Marketing and Communications positions in the consulting, software and consumer-product industries
Tom Siko – Promoted to Northeastern Sales Manager (center)
Tom Siko was hired at the end of 2005, to fulfill
a Technical Sales Rep position. However, in his short tenure here, he
has made a significant difference in Lex’s ability to deliver market-superior
products and meet customer demands in a timely, courteous manner.
In his new position as Northeast Sales Manager, Tom will be responsible for outside sales in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Rode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
“This is a very exciting time for us here at Lex. We’ve been growing rapidly, but fortunately, we’ve also been able to hire some really excellent technical inside sales people,” said Tom. “This opportunity gives me the ability to get out of the office, see customers face-to-face, and reinforce the collaborative relationships that I have begun since coming on board last year,” added
Tom.
“This is a good step for Tom, and a good step for the company,” said Mark McKinney, VP of sales. “You can never have enough feet on the street, and Tom has such a good rapport with our customers. One of his first objectives will be to introduce our new product lines, including our new Lex Rack™, our new Electrol DX Dimmer Racks and Margarita Mixer, and our new Low Profile Multicable,” added

“Mike Scala was originally hired as Plant Manager in December of 2005, and in one short year, he has proven to be an invaluable internal resource for us,” said Bruce Allen, President of Lex Products. “One
of his major responsibilities will be to leverage operational synergies
across all Lex divisions, as well as across our entire supply chain-- not an easy task, I might add,” said
Bruce.
“The truth is that the systems and infrastructures of yesterday just can’t handle the growth that Lex has been undergoing these past few years,” said Mike. “My most critical objectives will be to build a cohesive, flexible and dynamic operations team, to enhance our technology, and to streamline our processes so that we can improve our lead times and pass on cost savings to our customers,” added
Mike.
“Mike’s promotion speaks directly to Lex’s dedication to implementing Lean Manufacturing principles,” said Bob Luther, CEO of Lex Products. “We’ve got a lot to accomplish in 2007, and with Mike at the helm, we believe our ship has a good, very capable captain,” added
Bob.

Lex Products Awarded U.S. Patent on PowerGATE™ Company Switch
December 18 , 2006
Lex Products Corp. has been awarded US Patent No. 7,136,278 B2for its PowerGATE™ Company Switch.
The PowerGATE™ Company Switch is the main power distribution connection point for a wide variety of entertainment venues such as theatres, convention centers, studios and arenas.
“Our team is constantly working on ways to make our products safer and easier to use,” said Bruce Allen, President of Lex Products and the ‘Inventor of record’. “The PowerGATE™ Company Switch patent is another example of hard work and great customer feedback, creating a product the market can really use ,” said Allen.
The Lex PowerGATE™ Company Switch features a 100% rated circuit breaker which unlike 80% rated thermo magnetic types, are not subject to nuisance tripping due to ambient temperature. The connectors are interlocked to the breaker, so that connections cannot be made or broken under load, an important safety feature.
Both cam and lug connections are behind the access door when in use, eliminating accidental disconnects, unauthorized access and/or tampering with connections.
This unique arrangement of the cam and lug combinations and the compact enclosure allows for both sets of cables to drape downward, thus providing for a lower profile against the wall.
“We are all very pleased to have been awarded a Patent from the US Government; it definitely reflects our culture of innovation here at Lex,” said Allen.
The Lex PowerGATE™ Company Switch is UL Listed (USA) and CUL ( Canada) Listed and is also available in a NEMA 3R Weatherproof version.

Lex Products Acquires Electrol Engineering Corp
Lex enhances its already robust product lines and extends presence
in the Entertainment Industry through the help of a well-known manufacturer
of state-of-the-art digital dimmers & power distribution products.
June 2, 2006
We are pleased to announce that on June 1, 2006, Lex Products Corp. acquired the Electrol Engineering Corporation. Bill Fehrmann, the founder of Electrol Engineering, will continue to run Electrol as a division of Lex Products from its current Forest Hill, MD location.
Over the past 25 years, Electrol has established itself as a manufacturer of the most robust theatrical dimmers on the market. Their product line encompasses portable, rack mount and permanent installation units, utilizing state-of-the-art digital control, monitoring and indicator options.
“This is a perfect partnership for us,” said Bob Luther, CEO of Lex Products. “Bill
Fehrmann and I are a lot alike; we are driven by customer feedback on
our products, their durability, esthetics and just plain usefulness.
I could see no better person or company to help us enhance our portable
and permanently installed product lines and to add dimming capability
to our repertoire.”
Over the years, Lex Products Corp. has established itself as the leading manufacturer of power distribution products to the entertainment industry, with an impressive history of product innovation and customer-service awards. Both Lex and Electrol plan to introduce and redesign products that will take advantage of such mutual strengths.
“It’s true that both our companies are built on the same core foundations; product innovation, engineering excellence and customer-service being paramount,” said
Bill Fehrmann.
“To tell you the truth, it’s nice to know that I’m not the only business owner who can be found walking through the factory, bringing back products to my desk and tooling around with them in an effort to improve them,” said Fehrmann. “I am known to be available 24-7-365 for my customers. I thought I was alone but LEX never sleeps either! I’m
really looking forward to working with a group of dedicated top-notch
people in an organization that is motivated by innovation and quality.”
Since its small beginnings circa 1982, Electrol has come to be known in the Entertainment industry as the company who invented trim-less dimmers, and for receiving the Excellence In Design Engineering Award from Design News for their Phase Proportional Driver. In fact, the Electrol brand is not only synonymous with high-performance dimming. Electrol sets industry standards with products such as dx rack mount digital dimming, Anaconda™ portable dimming, LFD single channel dimming, DND ‘Margarita
Mixer’, ISO - DMX Isolators’,
etc.
“We believe Lex will really enhance the construction and durability of Electrol’s dimmer line,” said Bruce Allen, President of Lex Products. “Some of our best customers have told us that by having Electrol’s dimmer technology inside our rubber boxes, they’ll
truly have the best of both worlds.”
“Even though we’re just in the beginning stages of this journey, we’re all chomping at the bit to co-develop new products together,” said Bill Froehlich, Manufacturing Manager of Lex Products and Project Manager of the Lex-Electrol product development team. “I can’t wait to see everyone’s reaction at LDI, when we finally show off the stuff that’s
in our skunk works.”
For now, shipping and billing will
continue to be handled from the Maryland location. However, Lex Products’ inside
and outside salespeople are ready, willing and able to accept Electrol
inquiries at this time.
For more information on Lex Product’s acquisition of Electrol, or for any product-related questions, please contact Bill Fehrmann at 410-638-9300 or Mark McKinney, VP of Sales, at 203-363-3738.

Lex Products Acquires Kimchuk Metal Processing,
Re-names Company KMP Division – Lex Products
August 22, 2005
Lex Products Corp. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the metal processing division of Kimchuk Inc. The business will be renamed KMP Division, Lex Products Corp.
KMP Inc. was founded as a metal processing company in 1972. The company specializes in engineered sheet metal design and fabrication. It is housed in a stand alone 20,000 sq. ft. facility on the west side of Stamford, CT, 2 miles from Lex headquarters in the east end of town.
“Lex intends to achieve three key goals with the KMP acquisition,” said Bob Luther, CEO of Lex Products Corp. “First,
we want to enhance an already successful business by adding energy, enthusiasm
and business expertise.”
“KMP will also strengthen Lex’s core electrical business by shortening the design cycle for key components and also reducing lead times on critical items,” added Luther. A third benefit arises from the fact that KMP had significant unused space, a rare commodity in Stamford. This space will immediately be used to expand Lex’s
manufacturing capabilities.

"As Controller, I oversaw all the accounting functions, including the billing, revenue recognition, expense management, payroll, taxes, AR, AP, etc." said
Liz.
"Although I will not be totally hanging-up my accounting hat, as the CFO, I will work closely with upper management to make the necessary changes and/or enhancements to sustain our competitive advantage," added
Liz.
Michele Walter - Controller
Michele Walter joined Lex Products in March as the Controller. Taking over for Liz Luther, Michele now handles the business forecasting, planning and analysis, as well as the day-to-day accounting functions; this includes, but is not limited to, the management and enhancement of Lex's MRP and accounting systems, as well as inventory management, pricing, AP/AR, dealer and customer service, and other miscellaneous operational expenses.
Formerly the Director of Cost Analysis for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company, Michele oversaw the implementation of a company-wide process management and inventory control system.
"I am excited to be able to utilize my over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, in order to assist in the current expansion of Lex Products. My goal is to bring world-class management practices to the fore-front, and to enhance the efficiencies of all of our departments," said
Michele.

Ken Makowski also joined Lex Products in March, as an Applications Engineer. Currently, he is also working as the Project Manager for Lex's major military contract with the Marine Corps-- the Mobile Electric Power Distribution System Replacement (MEPDIS-R). Prior to joining Lex, Ken was the Director of Engineering for a NYC telecommunications and media giant, where he was responsible for building and deploying global communications systems. One of Ken's claim-to-fame was creating the prototype for cellular television in San Paulo, Brazil.
"I've done everything from developing and implementing training programs for high-voltage equipment, to managing large-scale international projects. I am looking forward to being able to get my hands dirty here at Lex - helping to design and test new systems," said Ken. "But for now," adds Ken, "My
main job is to make sure that these key military projects go smoothly."
"We congratulate Liz on her promotion, and welcome Michele and Ken to our growing team here at Lex. Our recent operational changes should show our customers, as well as the industries we serve, that we are committed to our growth.and theirs," said Bob Luther, CEO of Lex Products Corp. Reiny Luther Retires from Lex Products Corp.
Reiny Luther is retiring as Chief Engineer
of Lex Products Corp. after 13 years of service. "From the day we first put a connector on a piece of cable, my Dad has been a constant influence, establishing the engineering principles of the company," said
Bob Luther, CEO of Lex Products.
Reiny was uniquely qualified to guide the engineering efforts of the company, having previously served as Chief Distribution Engineer for Northeast Utilities, the electrical utility in Connecticut. Reiny was responsible for the cable layout for all the power plants in Connecticut, including several nuclear facilities. He was in charge of the first cable installation across Long Island Sound and also served as Chairman of the Insulated Conductors Committee of IEEE.
Reiny was working as a private consultant to the Utility Industry when he joined Lex Products in 1992.
"When Bruce and I got involved in Portable Power Distribution boxes and other electrical equipment, it was truly a luxury to have my Dad involved. The re is nothing in our industry as complicated as a Nuclear Power Plant. Cable sizing, phase rotation, wire bending space, heat rise, load transfer, etc; all of these issues were handled with a remarkable degree of expertise," added
Bob.
In anticipation of his retirement, Reiny and
his wife have made extensive travel plans in the Western U.S. "We at Lex want to wish Reiny a fantastic time on his trips and congratulate him on his 'second' retirement," said Bruce Allen, President of Lex. "Of course, any time he wants to come back and lend some expertise, he's always welcome," added

Lex Products introduces PowerGate™ Company Switch - NEMA 3R Weatherproof Version
Lex introduces a weatherproof version of its popular PowerGATE™ Company Switch.
January 28, 2005
Company switches are great for outdoor events and productions but they must be weatherproof; typically, they need to be mounted in a separate bulky and expensive enclosure. Lex's new NEMA3R weatherproof version will save time, space and money, and most importantly, ensure the safety of any event.
Lex Products' PowerGate™ Company Switches
feature 100% rated electronic breakers, which unlike 80% rated thermo
magnetic types, are not subject to nuisance tripping due to ambient
temperature.
Both cam and lug connections are behind the access door when in use, eliminating accidental disconnects, unauthorized access and/or tampering with connections.
This unique arrangement of the cam and lug combinations allows for both sets of cables to drape downward for a lower profile against the wall.
And both the cam and lug output connections are interlocked to the main breaker, via the access door, so connections cannot be made while power is on.
The Lex PowerGate™ Company Switch is patent
pending, UL Listed (USA) and CUL ( Canada ) Listed and NEMA 3R Weatherproof.
