New Custom Cable Labeling from Lex

| Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference. Take Lex Products’ new method for cable labeling; like many manufacturers in the industry, Lex had previously used printed heat shrink labels – which meant every custom label would have to be made to order, creating added production time. Lex’s Operations team took on this dilemma and found an cleverly simple solution to shorten turnaround times for all custom labeled cable sets. Lex’s labels are now made from permanently self-laminating, weatherproof, durable translucent vinyl labels which are wrapped around the cable. These rugged labels are then covered with clear heat shrink tubing that is included on ever cable assembly, providing multi-layer label protection. |
| This seemingly small innovation means that custom labels can now be added to in-stock cables. Once all the customer information is received Lex can add custom labels and ship same day. On top of quicker turnaround, these new labels can be printed on colored labels and accommodate a wide variety of fonts, graphics, and even bar codes so that rental houses can incorporate their own inventory control markings. Lex’s new custom cable labeling technique might seem small, but it is a good reminder of the way that Lex is constantly thinking of ways to create value for its customers and meet and exceed their expectations.
