The outlet box shall be a  Listed wireway constructed of 0.125” black enamel finish aluminum with interlocking
cover sections. The exterior dimensions of the wireway shall be 4-5/8” high x 3-3/16” deep by 6” wide
for up to 2 outlets, 12” wide for 3 or 4 outlets, 16” wide for 5 or 6 outlets.
Receptacles shall be flush mounted to the cover or attached to 18” 12/3 SOOW-A pigtails (drop cords) or both.
Pigtails shall be supported by compression type strain relief fittings mounted to the bottom surface. Wire mesh
support grips shall be available for arc of bend relief as an option.
The outlet boxes shall be available in four mounting configurations:
- Surface mount
- Pipe mount with brackets and U-bolts
- Pipe mount with C-Clamps, and
- Flush (recessed) mount.
Boxes shall be capable of being converted to each mounting type in the field by exchanging accessories at the
installation location using only common hand tools. Flush mount covers shall be provided with a 21/32” flange
around the perimeter.
